In her free time, Lindsay can often be found at a library, searching for good books to share with her students, as well as picking up a few for herself. During the past school year, Lindsay taught her preschool class virtually, connecting with children in their living rooms and bedrooms, using Zoom! She is thrilled that this year she will be teaching students in person, again. Prior to joining Cedar Crest, she taught children ages 3 to 5 at a preschool where she also had the opportunity to develop and teach an elective phonics class. She also developed curriculum and taught English to middle school and high school English language learners in an after-school program. For example, she prepared and led engaging activities for children ranging in age from 3 to 10 years old in summer camp programs. Since that time, she has worked with children in a variety of settings and capacities. Throughout her high school years, Lindsay tutored early elementary school students who were struggling to learn how to read.
